May 9th 09:02 pm (local time), 2#turbo-generator unit of Paute-Sopladora Hydropower Station got connected onto the power grid following the success of the first unit on April 15 in Ecuador. It demonstrated CGGC’s technological strength and guaranteed power supply for post-earthquake work in Ecuador. In aim to reach the power-generating target of 2# turbo-generator set on schedule, CGGC Project Management Division, while actively fulfilling social responsibilities, continued with daily production under elaborate management and scientific planning, which ensured the grid-connected power of 2# generator unit. Paute-Sopladora project becomes the third hydropower Station belonging to the cascade exploitation of Paute River, Ecuador. Among the eight most key civil projects in Ecuador, it has 3 Francis turbo-generator units installed and each one is designed to withstand the flow rate of 50m³/s and to contain maximum water height of 385.96m. Based on the installed capacity of 486 MW, it supplies electricity of 2.77 billion KWh per year to the national power grid.
Based on this hydro-power construction environment, Metis SDA bolt can be used to stabilize the foundation effectively, which can choose kinds of drill bits according to different geological conditions.
