SDA bolt is a new reinforced and support method for geotechnical engineering. It combines drilling, grouting and anchoring together, bonds surrounding rocks together with high efficiency and convenience, which aims to sustain engineering’s stability.
Before drilling, slope surface should be renovated according to design. Weak rock should be cleaned on surface, then professed machine positions location.
The location of drill hole directly influences installation quality and mechanical effect of SDA bolt. So, it’s important for professional technicists to mark prominent sign (red paint), not visual inspection.
Drilling platform should be settled to ensure security of drill machine and operators, which should has enough stiffness and stability.
Putting drill machine at anchoring hole and correcting inclination of principal axis to ensure angularity of SDA bolt. Then moving drill machine to make center of principal axis alignment to anchoring hole. Finally drill machine should be fixed to prevent movement during drilling process.
When drilling begins, drill machine should operate in low speed to avoid drill bit waggling. After construction normally, speed changes to middle until SDA bolt reaches to designed depth. When encountering broken stone and hard stratum, drill machine should be lifted and then impacted.
During process of drilling, pressure grouting is carried out simultaneously. Seriflux goes through hollow bar and grouting from drill bit, the bottom of SDA bolt, which is dense and full, also it increases SDA bolt’s anchoring force.
